Koury Angelo is a photographer specializing in portrait and fine art photography. He received his BFA in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin, then seized an opportunity to move to Paris where he spent a year working as a staff photographer for Le Figaro and studying his craft at the prestigious Speos Institute of Photography. Koury then moved to New York City where he worked at Milk Studios, facilitating productions for such clients as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, V Mag, Glamour, Interview, GQ, Revlon, Levis, Banana Republic, Coach, Lancome, and others. He has assisted renowned photographers Nathaniel Goldberg, Ben Watts and Terry Tsiolis.

Currently, Koury works in Los Angeles where he has set out on his own, shooting for high profile clients and agencies. He most recently photographed Mia Michaels, choreographer to the stars and judge on Fox TV’s “So You Think You Can Dance” for a spread in Movmnt Magazine, as well as Overspray Magazine where his subject was respected street artist Elbow Toe. Koury’s work has been exhibited in solo shows in Paris, France, and was featured in the most recent group show at the Milk Studios Gallery in NYC. “Grey” is Koury’s first solo exhibition in New York.
