Daniel DeSure has worked as a visual artist and art producer in Los Angeles for over five years. He pursued his undergraduate degree at the California Institute of the Arts in 2000 studying experimental film and video. In 2003, he began producing art and in early 2006 he produced Sleepwalkers with Doug Aitken for the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In early 2007 Daniel founded Commonwealth, an art production, consulting and design house specializing in large scale installations, films ,experiential design, publication design, and events that incorporate new media. Omer Fast and Francesco Vezzoli were the first two artists to work through Commonwealth, and both projects have recently made it onto the covers of ArtForum and Flash Art magazine.

Daniel DeSure doesn’t sleep.

When he’s not producing through Commonwealth he’s creating his own art through photography, film and new media. “Wouldn’t it be nice” is Daniel’s first show at Found Gallery.
