Last Day for C.L.Meisinger’s Partial at 801 Gallery in Milwaukee

Back in July, we had the pleasure of showing C.L.Meisinger’s Default Project as part of our month long Spacial Reconstruction show. Now, a retrospective of Default Project is showing (through the end of today!) as a part of “Medium Rare” with C.L.Meisinger’s “Partial” at 801 Gallery (801 Center Street) in Milwaukee, WI. The show features photography from our very own Brady Brim-DeForest.
Excerpts from installation/performance piece The Default Project created by C.L.Meisinger are presented as large scale video stills and digital photographs by Brady Brim-DeForest and C.L.Meisinger.
The Default Project debuted with original members Ethan Schanback, Sheena Meddaugh, Pamela Luedtke, and C.L.Meisinger, at Found Gallery in Los Angeles in July 2008 as a 36-hour performance piece comprised almost entirely of improvisational movement.
The default players addressed very personal themes of gender stereotyping, objectification, and conformity in a very public space. Further exploring these topics at 801 gallery, C.L.Meisinger will present Partial; a short performance piece created for the opening of group show Medium Rare running from November 7th-November 21st.
