Alex Schaefer—tonight
Listen up, friends. Alex Schaefer (aka back to back Found collaborator — see: Micro Gestalt & the Joint Custody Project) rocks the small wall at the Hive tonight.
A ridiculously prolific painter and Art Center teacher, Alex is always someone to watch. In late February, after the JCP opened, I caught him (me, not Alex…running late for an appointment) near the Echo Food Mart, just rocking some observational styles.
Mr. Schaefer is not just technically sound but, also, just a great guy. If you’ve met him, he’s charmed you. I envy his skills/eye/personality.
