Pop-Cling Vinyl Show Up Now

cool mobile by Cameron Tiede

Jessica Lopez, aka Uncommon Industries, was someone I originally met last year, when the Orphanage Gallery was about to open.  She was trying to guest curate a group show that eventually didn’t fit into Found’s schedule for as quickly as it should have been exhibited.  And it also seems as though it was somewhat out of our spectrum of the genre of work we’ve displayed so far.  I would love to try something more graphic like this and see how all of you respond.

Regardless, the persistent Ms. Industries landed an exhibition at Munky King, a very sexy toy store on Melrose.  Unfortunately, the reception has already taken place, but I believe it will be up for a while (I will inquire and let you know).  By all means, check it out.  The show was called Pop-Cling and was all vinyl, wall mountable art (think Fathead but without the emphasis on American sports stars).  Check it out - click below for photos from the reception.
