The Joint Custody Project Berlin deadline has been extended to May 15. You have five days, so Apply Now. We are looking for Berlin and LA based artists to participate in a collaborative process oriented show. Read more about what we did last year or follow the project at the Joint Custody Blog.
This Saturday, May 10 Peres Projects is opening a new show by Terrence Koh at their gallery in Chinatown. Instead of sharing some images or the postcard, I would like to reproduce what is, perhaps, the most inspiring and engaging invitation I’ve ever received to anything, really. Thanks to Chris for making me read through the end.

Though not officially public yet, Eastside/CoS royalty Beck and currently-finishing-their-sophomore-album Cold War Kids will be performing at this year’s Sunset Junction Street Fair. This year, the Junction takes place on Saturday + Sunday, August 23-24.
That’s all we know as of yet, but we can guarantee on that Saturday evening you will be invited to hear some special guests in town to perform and play records as part of Found’s 2 year anniversary party. Shhhh…….
Peggy Jo Pabustan [Phyllis Stein Gallery] + Amanda Alfieri, two excellent performance artists, will be launching their ‘Serious Work’ show at the Disney/CalArts Theater for Redcat’s Spring Studio 2008. Performances will take place on May 17 & 18.
The Studio program also includes performances by Cynthia Lee, Maya Matreyek, Sarah Paul Ocampo, The Paul Bailey Ensemble, and Wu Ingrid Sang.
Incidentally, Peggy + Amanda and Alicia + Kate are old chums and may or may not be engaging in a tag-team fight at Found this August.

Your end of the year student art exhibitions are upon us in LA. We’ll post them as we see them, starting this evening at USC’s Undergraduate Juried Exhibition. [link]
